OGSE 0.6.9.2 was memorable
OGSE 0.6.9.2 is probably the playthrough I have most memories from.
I had already played SoC + Complete mod, using the retail version. Once I bought the 3 games on Steam, I booted up OGSE. I finished my playthrough clocking 140-something hours. It was stunning.
It's a shame I can't play 0.6.9.3 now because of all the graphical improvements, and the sad fact that there isn't static lightning render. I game on an old laptop...
Regarding news, I read a few days ago on Ap-Pro.ru that Kamikaze (OGSE's lead developer) had just returned to work on 0.6.9.3, his goal being to wrap up development and bring the mod out of OBT and release a final version. |

I doubt I will able to get through this mod. I applied two fixes before starting the translation work and the sequence of text lines, here and there, seem out of order.

I've restarted to play and translate this mod in my native langage after a long pause. In game I'm in Dead City, I've not noticed troubles with the text, except some string_tables in place of the words, but that's because I've applied the fixes only for the 'gameplay' and not the 'text' (to keep the translation safe)
I don't think the final release will touch a lot the text, it's more about issues
The good news is that KamikaZzeRu will give the plain text of the docs and books as they have done for the 0692 sdk text (hope he will not forget that) |
