What file do you edit for changing the stuff Sidorovich sells. I don't know which one it is cause I need to change that one file for a friend who wants some items added to what he sells.

I just did a quick look in some old mod folders and to my knowledge it's the "outfit" file in C:<STALKER DIRECTORY>gamedata config misc

Just a few questions regarding the DB extractor and items:

1) Do I need to individually extract each gamedata.db# file individually, or will just one do?
2) Where abouts do I find ammo and scopes once the files have been extracted?

It depends on what you want to do. If you are not dealing with textures, models, levels and the like, then gamedata.dbb might be all you need. Otherwise, extract them in order.

Here's a list of what's where, first posted by jrmy:

System.ltx in gamedata/config then no actors in game

OK. This may have been discussed before, but I've not found it.
I'm wanting only to edit two sections of the game
1. A weapon
2. Max Weight.

I know that there are mods out there, but I would like to try this myself.
To start, I extracted system.ltx, placed it into gamedata/config. Made no changes to the file, and there are no other files in the gamedata folder, just the system.ltx.
I then started a new single player game.
Apart from the trader, no other actors get loaded into the game.
The whole world is empty (apart from the trader).

What am I doing wrong?
Is there a minimal set of files that need to be extracted, or is the system.ltx incomplete (I compared the vanilla one to the one from Heros Mod and there was a whole section of actors at the end, to do with carrying stuff which is not in the vanilla system.ltx)

Any help/tips would be appreciated

Cheers...

Anybody know how to alter the respawn rate under 1.004? I'm assuming it has something to do with the all.spawn file --- do I need to hex edit this somehow?

Pliskin, I don't know about "scheduled" -- it's off for all the weapons and on for the creatures and NPCs. Maybe it has something to do with thread processing; that is, an "off" setting means it doesn't have to be updated on a scheduled basis.

darrob, I hope you've found out what happened. I wouldn't have expected the scenario you mentioned, but there might be some "downstream" dependencies if you have an external set of gamedata files, since system.ltx includes "the world" of configuration files.

There are a few other threads in the forum that discuss weight modifications. You've probably started one of them...

Not quite sure I know what you mean --- could you be more specific?
