Damnit. I told you.

You must spawn the entity "m_car", but it won't work, so you must create new entities to all vehicles.

for example to the veh_niva_u_01.ltx

[vehicle_niva]
GroupControlSection = spawn_group
$spawn = "vehiclesvehicle_niva"
class = SCRPTCAR
cform = skeleton
visual = physicsvehiclesnivaveh_niva_u_01.ogf
actor_visual = physicsvehiclesnivaveh_niva_u_01.ogf
ef_equipment_type = 3
ph_mass = 13000

and now you can spawn it with the vehicle_niva by alife create

Ok my question is this: Is there a file that determines the size of the ui_icon_equipment.dds? Meaning, that the grid x/y would be "calibrated" for a higher resolution image? The default size is 1024 x 2048, I tried to double that, but the inventory icons got all stetched and corrupted due to the icon placement (x/y grid) still being for 1024 x 2048.

If changing this value would be possible, it would let me double the size of the ui_icon_equipment.dds, thus having more detailed icons (I'm using real photos for the icons and scaling them down to 1024x2048 results in a loss of detail which wouldn't be as noticeable if scaled to 2048 x 4096.)

Nope, already checked that. I do have a feeling that it could be in some of the xml-files...
Guess I'll continue searching, just popped here to ask if someone would already know where to look, so I'd save some time searching for it...

Darius, it's not a problem about the size of the .dds file.
It's lot of time that i'm using a 2048x2048 file, so i'm sure it's not a problem.
The fact is that the game is looking for a grid of 50x50 in its reference and i've not found where i could change this value.
Anyway i think that we cannot oversize too much icons, as we don't have all that free space in the visualization's screens ( like inventory or trade ) to double the icon's size, so we'll have again the detail loss, cause whatever you are gonna do, the game will always visualize those signle grids as 50x50.

I already saw that i could obtain quite the same result without using a compression in the .dds file. The file will be the same weight ( 1024x2048 uncomp. == 8MB == 2048x4096 comp. DXT5 ) and you'll gain pretty the same visual improvement in-game, as long as you are not using a 50 inch LCD HD .

Hey kanyhalos, in OL 1.3.3 i was playing around & got bandits in the garbage to use the ak47 instead of the ak74u. I gave them at least 2 clips of ammo along with the gun in the charachter_desc file, but every time i kill a bandit, the ammo never shows up in his inventory.

How can i fix this?

(EDIT)

Forget about it, i found out how to make it myself. Just needed to add the ammo & AK47 dependency lines to death_generic.ltx.

Debug?

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but I have been trying to figure this out for days. Basically, while in-game I press the tilde ~ key to access the command prompt. Problem is there are a bunch of text that scrolls through. Not sure if this is because the AMK Interactive Music Mod uses amk.script and amk.mod file, but that is just a wild guess. Well, here's what pops up in the prompt.

sv destroy object [7547][ammo_gauss:ammo_gauss] [360]
sv reject. id_parent [8014][stalker_sakharov:yantar_ecolog_general] id_entity [7547][ammo_gauss:ammo_gauss] [360]
cl setDestroy [17516][360]
cl setDestroy [17517][360]
cl setDestroy [17518][360]
cl setDestroy [17519][360]
cl setDestroy [17520][360]
... etc.

It will do setDestroy for about 30-60 entries when entering the game. Please, somebody tell me how to remove this! Btw - it's not the esc - tab deal, that brings up the rs_stats.

Are you running with 1.0006, Spaceghost? The "cl" and "sv" imply that, for client/server messages.

If that is the case, and if you can do without multiplayer support, you could revert to an earlier patch version like 1.0004 or 1.0005.

v1.0006 is Evil!

Ohhhh! Now I understand. Forgot to mention that, yes I am using v1.0006. That is pretty weird, you'd figure there would be an option to turn that off. Well, I can live with it so no big deal.

I better put up a disclaimer when this fan mod is finished. lol

Help

Hi,

does anyone know if there's a mod that adds M14 and/or L96AW into this game?
