How to Uninstall RAW's UI mod

I can't find any original download online and since its integrated in the ZRP, I don't know which files to remove.

My issue is that when I use the ZRP mod the items in my inventory are completely stretched and distorted and I don't want to play like that. I believe RAWs mod is the root of the issue. I would actually prefer to play ZRP and SoC with the original, fat and clunky inventory menu.

I would settle for the new high resolution option in ZRP but like I said, the issue is many of my icons are very stretched, distorted and ugly looking and I don't want this.

Is there a way to play ZRP mod with all original UI? OR is there a stand alone UI mod that I can replace it with? I've tried searching online and ALL ui mods for some reason force you to change everything else with it... Like radiation effect, night vision, anomalies, sound effects etc... I dont understand why. But I'm caught between a rock and a hard place here... and desperate and rather frustrated. I don't normally mod games like this but the original is so riddled with bugs its hard not too. I've been up all night trying to delete files from ZRP, trial and error and different combinations and I can't fix this.

Help is welcomed, thank you.

There is a ZRP thread for questions like this, just below your two posts. While you don't have to post there, these are ZRP issues. However, this is the first time someone has requested to remove this fix in the twelve years since the fix appeared. I just replied to Xottab and he's answered you with the fixes. You should post on Reddit because you can show everyone what you are talking about by posting screenshots of the inventory.

As I said elsewhere: "The widescreen changes are controlled by <install_folder>\gamedata\config\ui\inventory_new_16.xml. The fixes there include Raw's Widescreen Fix to allow selecting items in the bottom rows and a swap of the shock and impact icons in item descriptions, but it does change the grid size a bit. Deleting or renaming this file will restore the vanilla widescreen."

I'll look into making a Modifier option to select vanilla and raw grids in widescreen resolution, but I suspect the issue of stretched icons will never go away due to how the engine is coded.

EDIT: Files are ready, just need to get home to upload them.

The vanilla widescreen grid is 31x41 and with raws inventory mod they get turned into 26x31. But that's slightly wider than it should be to keep proper inventory icon proportions (23x31).

But I honestly don't think my fix will make that much of a difference.

You say the icons are big and distorted, but with the widescreen mod icons should look way small.

Are you sure you have the correct ZRP set up? There is an option in _ZRP.cfg that allows you to fix widescreen inventory grids. Those should be left checked, as it matches the inventory grids to the trade and search grids in order to keep consistency between windows.

The set up I have right now is vanilla 31x41 grids as optional and the fixed raw 23x31 grids as ZRP default.

But if you change trade and search screens without also checking the correct inventory grid options there will be inconsistencies between screens.

I'd have a clearer idea of what is the issue if I had some screenshot.

EDIT2:

Ok, it's done. Download this file, drag and drop the gamedata folder over your ZRP gamedata. I pre-configured it to return inventory, trade and search grids to vanilla size (not 100% vanilla, as I moved the grids around to squeeze a couple of extra rows and columns).

Thank you kindly for your help. Using this information I was able to restore the original size of the grid, along with the original size and shapes of the items in my inventory. Everything is much more clear and easier for me. Again, thank you. I was aware of the other thread but I did ultimately decide to make a new thread because this was a unique issue I was having I feel not many people share. Either way, thank you.

I really appreciate the feedback. I am sure I did a bad job of explaining my issue. I don't use reddit and I don't even know how to upload screenshots. If I did I would have! But along with your's and NatVacs help, I was able to fix the issue I was having with my screens. Thank you for going out of your way to provide me with the files that I needed. I owe you both for your help.

Cheers
