What is it that you like about 1.4007 compared to the earlier release(s)? Just curious..

New NPC (Proverb), new missions, familiar NPCs doing things a little different (Nimble). The last version I played was 1.3 so maybe they aren't so new. STALKER is the most replayable game I know of mostly because it is (or can be) non-linear.

Boris' face is similar to the face used for Paulie the Stew in 1.4002. Might be where you remember him from? None of these "pay to play" characters were in LA up to 1.3003 though. ---END QUOTATION---
I think Byte Me means people that gave a donation to Dez0wave and got their name in the Game as an NPC. For example, 1 of the 5 NPCs sitting in a circle just down the hillside from the Cordon Factory is a friend of mine. Another NPC that was waiting for the Player to clear the Pseudodogs in Rostok and later hangs out inside is another friend of mine. One of the NPCs sitting inside the Pig Farm at the Loner Camp in the Dark Valley is another. I'm sure I'll come across more.
Glad to see you in LA DC 1.4007. It's the most balanced version I've seen.
However Boris has unique clothing and dialogue which interested me.
I found an artefact I almost mistook for mutant guts. Giblets I think it was called. This was in Construction site while search everywhere for those damned transistors and nuts.
Not sure why but my F keys are not working with the game. ---END QUOTATION---
I've had difficulties with changing keybindings. The best advice I can give is not to mess with it more than necessary, make sure you are not reassigning a key that was specifically used elsewhere, and most importantly - after any changes:
Save and exit the game. Then restart.
Exploiting 1.4007 DC as best as I can. I will NEVER, EVER use a "cheat pack" - a game lives or dies on its gameboard. Best of luck, stalker...
