Fix'n Serly (no spoilers)
Don't want to get into detail about jumping back an forth along the game time line, nor delve into running the Missing Fellow mission twice, once as a night mission and once during daylight hours.
For any encountering a problem where Serly won't talk to you after completing any mission he gives, try this as it worked for me;
When finding Serly won't talk to you;
1. Do a full save,
2. Take a handgun of knife and shoot or slash Serly once,
(At this point Serly will kill you)
3. Reload the game to the save just created,
4. Serly will be friendly and the 'Talk' message will be available to use.
This problem occurred on 'Missing Fellow' and each of the 'Bandit/Dog/Zombie' elimination tasks, but not on the Boar elimination task. This fix worked to resolve the problem in each case.
Though electing to use a full save, it will in all likelihood work with quick saves as well.
Plan to use this solution for any similar occurrences. |

---QUOTATION--- Interesting to know. Be more interesting to know why he goes incommunicado in the first place, but a cure is always welcome.
By the way, he's called 'Seriy' - with an 'I' not an 'L'.

@Steelyglint
(From the wookie):
All versions:
#1 Provided that Yurik survives and migrates to the same location as Seriy, Seriy will have a 'talk-to companion' for the rest of the game and discourse with Seriy is trivial.
#2 Should Yurik NOT survive the storyline firefight, then Seriy has no 'companion'. In this situation the character "sulks" and remains unresponsive. This may be circumvented by save / reloading near Seriy.
#3 For optimal storyline benefits, Seriy needs to survive.
#4 For best conversation effects and minimal inconvenience, Seriy AND Yurik need to survive.
(Sorry, I meant 'from the wiki')
So basically, the problem has existed from the early days of LA, never been seen as a problem provided that the player makes a save before or during the "Hangar Rush", and is easily resolved by replaying the scene until Seriy and Yurik push off to their little safe space for an endless BS session.
It usually isn't even a problem when the Bandit second wave attacks.
Provided S and Y survive.
Even in v1.4007 if Seriy snuffs it, some nearby accomplice (or Seriy's corpse - I forget) gives the "Meet Mole" infoportion so that the main storyline doesn't break.
In any event - replaying "Hangar" takes all of five minutes.
Exploiting 1.4007 DC as best as I can. I will NEVER, EVER use a "cheat pack" - a game lives or dies on its gameboard. Best of luck, stalker...

Sure you didn't mean 'weakie'?

Geeze it took you a week to figure all that out. didn't mean to put you to such a bother.
Here's the kicker on this. When things go well Lost Alpha is a joy to play. Artifacts drop at your feet, the NPC and critters seem happy to die without much fuss.
But...
If an error is made and the Dev-Gods take umbrage with your actions. It becomes a Godot like grind. Nothing seems to work, and when it does, it leads to disappointment, despair and a dead-end. Says volumes about their sense of humor and programming abilities.
BTW think you spelt 'weakie' wrong. |

...Nimble didn't want to...
TS ---END QUOTATION---
First time running this line and trying to work out what's expected from this line of tasks. Nimble's a pain to work with but, like the kid with the pitch fork, there's gotta be a Pony of some sort in there somewhere. |

By the way, he's called 'Seriy' - with an 'I' not an 'L'.
A preoccupation with the next world is a clear indication of an inability to cope credibly with this one.

Didn't know you two were.... never mind! Am laying this off on tired eyes and/or crappy graphics. Could be both.
As to your 2nd contention. Am not sure of what exactly you mean by this, but a noise canceling headset might help. You know the DOTA song, right? |
