'Erroneus API call' constant crash

Hello, any ideas what to do here?

Expression : The application has made an erroneous API call that it had enough information to avoid. This error is intended to denote that the application should be altered to avoid the error. Use of the debug version of the DXGI.DLL will provide run-time debug output with further information.
Function : CHW::UpdateViews
File : ..\xrRenderDX10\dx10HW.cpp
Line : 629
Description : R

RX480 8GB
i5 3570K 3.40Ghz
16GB DDR3
Windows 10 64bit

I also have a .zip file for the crash report but I don't know if I should put it here or where to send it.

Its a very frustrating thing because the game sometimes lets me play for hours before it crashes, but now I once again encountered another area where it is crashing every 2 minutes. (after 200 hundred soldiers load into the monolith base)

Any help is appreciated.

Seems like a problem with directx. Have you tried changing the renderer to static or dx9,10 or 11?

Thanks for response man - yes, I play normally on 11 and changing to 10 or 9 seems to change the frequency of crashes but still it happens. I've never tried 'static lighting'.

The fact is that the game looks very good with 11 and I don't feel like changing it. I have tried 10 and 9 and it looks so bad...

Also - I was able to complete the monolith base now and played for hours without it crashing. This 'randomness' makes me not want to change also because as I said sometimes I can play until I get bored and it doesn't crash at all.

Sadly I don't know how to interpret these crash logs.

Those zip files contains log files, which you can take a look what is going on.

Thanks for response man

Yes I'm aware. I opened them but

A: There's a lot of trash (You have X CPU with Y threads! This GPU!)

B: Not sure what to look for or what some of this means

Here's the before and after where I read 'FATAL ERROR' at the end of xray_Daniel.log

I will only add: This is a very serious crash; Its not simply a 'Oh the game closed' crash. It seems to be doing something to my GPU drivers. Screen starts displaying weird artifacts sometimes, for example on Discord, these are only fixed by a PC restart (and presumably by a GPU driver restart but haven't tried that yet) and after the crash occurs the PC hangs for a few seconds and its unusable - sometimes going into the task manager and closing the left over .exe of the game is the only way to use the computer.

No other games behave like this
