The ability to trade all items with any NPC is my contribution of advice to Dez0wave as a Tester. Before that, you just about couldn't sell them anything. https://i.imgur.com/PEZROQx.jpg

The hideous grey film covering everything in the Extended Weather v0.20 Mod that I hated so much, I uninstalled it and started a new Game just to get rid of it. https://i.imgur.com/gmALcMQ.jpg

Not being able to get the extra weight carrying capacity until the third tier made this a bad choice. By that time I've moved on to better suits. I instead went back to my pre-purchase save and bought the Sunrise 5: https://i.imgur.com/tWNtDHH.jpg
Somehow this son of a bitch found 3 artifacts where I had detected none:

Interesting read and pictures. Haven't played the newest DC version but for now agrees on the things you don't like.
Pretty strange description of that Gravi. It is radioactive, protects against gun shots but the description also claims it blocks radioactivity (radionuclides emits radiation) but nothing about how good it is at that.

As you probably already know, 18 Mods come with the 1.4.007 download. It appears around 4 or 5 of those were selected by default. One of those I immediately found great dislike with the super crappy "Extended Weather v0.20" that is one of the worst executions of a Mod I have ever seen. It required the removal of the "DC 14.005 Darker Nights v1.01" first to get rid of it and likewise you could not have the "DC 14.005 Darker Nights v1.01" without installing it first. A parasite relationship no doubt. I've made 3 screenshots showing the full range of all the 18 Mods. I'm only using 3. I have no desire to use the Hardcore Economy or Hardcore Survival. The Russian Voice Acting was another one I had to uninstall since there were no English captions for the Russian voices.

I am so thankful I was a Tester for Lost Alpha 2 years prior to it's untimely leak and subsequent official premature release. There are so many stories that I could tell about it's development, and the things I fought for, suggested and was both successful and unsuccessful in my input.
For example, the main scripter ( he who I will not name but it was not Dez ) was absolutely against any upgrading of weapons and armors like found in Clear Sky and Call of Pripyat. His reasoning was, is that he never personally needed or wanted them so why should anyone else? The earliest implementations of upgrades were so crude they were a joke. I'm glad I fought for that one and eventually won. Another success was getting the change to allow all NPCs the ability to buy and sell most all items from the Player. Before that, the Player had to tediously haul all used weapons back to a Trader instead of being able to sell them in the field.
The one argument I had that I lost was getting all the Lost Alpha artifacts to fall in line with the what everyone was used to in Call of Pripyat. We all know SoC had unique original versions of the Artifacts and their properties. GSC wisely changed that in Clear Sky to make things harder ( no more complete Anomaly neutralization ) and offered new varieties. This was again slightly adjusted in Call of Pripyat and the version I lobbied for. I wanted the most of all, helpful additional weight-carrying Artifacts and Stamina Artifacts. Needless to say, Lost Alpha ( Dez0wave ) decided to ignore all that and come up with their own Artifact hierarchy.
The LADC Artifacts use pictures and names of the other versions but mixes them up. What you recognize visually may have a different name and/or properties. What name you recognize may have a different picture and/or properties. In other words a complete scramble over any retail Game or Mod. Many more were added with new pictures and names and properties. Is this good or bad? I don't know yet but it does add some excitement since most of us already know the weapons and armors.
