Guides
---QUOTATION--- In my second playthrough, this happened as well, but for some reason, my first playthrough's Nimble is still at the Rookie Village
Here is a ZIP file of my save where you begin Freeplay, where Nimble is still there.
https://mega.nz/#!peZ1xKqL!x3vYe6SlSt2OTdNXdA4lKvP_jLgrg-XEIPAv0z7eU0s
What FiloT says still happens with this save. But I think a workaround for this is to only go to Cordon via the Guides, so that you load/spawn very close to Nimble, then he won't disappear.
This was one of my first workarounds too.
But I found this prohibitive and inflexible. And WTH it's flaky as hell...
EDIT AND SPOILERS:
After the SSP-10 and the TRs-301, there isn't really much going on with Nimble anyways, you only get 3 more normal quests:
•Get Balanced IL86 from Secret Trader.
•Get the Healing Beril again, which you can buy back from Nimble or go to the Secret Trader. (But this is a stupid quest because you lose money to complete it, the reward for the quest is around 30% of the Suit's value and as far as I know, there is no other Healing Beril lying around somewhere in the game, as the quest's location to get the Suit, is directly on Nimble. It also looks like a copy and paste quest)
•Get the Tourist Suit from Secret Trader.
Though he does say that there are no contracts at the moment, so I am not sure if you can get more items for him if the ingame time passes, give or take, a few days ---END QUOTATION---
It's still flaky...
Exploiting 1.4007 DC as best as I can. I will NEVER, EVER use a "cheat pack" - a game lives or dies on its gameboard. Best of luck, stalker...

Yes! Your are right, I just realized, I was travelling mostly with guides, thats why he did not disappeard. So that's a workaround right there.
When I was leaving on foot, he vanished. |

I managed to get my 17k from him, but when I later returned to Cordon, as soon as I came to pda range, he disappeared, failing some other quests from him.
It´s like he´s there for a limited amount of time ... but I probably got lucky. |
