Well if I play with dynamic lightning then everything is insaaaanely dark. I don't like that amount of darkness.

This is the problem I've been having. It looks cool for screenshots but doesn't work out to well in-game.

That aside the light shining on objects is way too bright, but I'm pretty sure that's an HDR/bloom/user.ltx issue.

You don't need the Russian version of Stalker. I'm playing from a patched Steam version.

Yeah, it's some bloom issue. I just went ahead with static lightning, couldn't be bothered with 'fixing' dynamic lightning. I bet the devs meant the game to be played with static anyway, to get the old feel even more.

I always play Shadow of Chernobyl in static lighting, regardless of mod, etc. even though I have a computer fully capable of running it in dynamic lighting

Clear Sky and Call of Pripyat, I have no problem playing with DX10.1/DX11, since their engines are capable of utilizing these somewhat properly, but I've always found that Shadow of Chernobyl looks the best with static lighting

once you get used to it, I dare say there's no going back ^^

Uhm, no offense to the creators of this mod, but it doesnt really look great. The weapons are the beta ones and textures are not anything special. Which is the point. They're recreating the Oblivion Lost feel, and back then there was no dynamic lightning. So I don't see the problem with playing on static lightning in this mod. Not to mention, I had a pretty good reason as well, which is that with dynamic lightning the mod is insanely dark. Even tried messing with r2_sun_lumscale values to no avail.

Olivius74 mentioned "the beauty of this mod" and in my opinion, there is nothing beautiful about this mod. It's not the point of it to looks nice.

Dynamic lightning in SOC has its glitches (especially shadows in the distance) but I still think it's a lot better than static, usually.

Took me a long time to get a stable build. I have two problems with the mod.

1) Inventory right-click functions don't work on the last item. For example... I can't eat the last of a food item type (for example, the last sausage).

2) I can't reload a weapon although ammo is available.

Very strange. Ideas?

make sure it's in your belt first (i.e. double-click the ammo in the backpack to put it on your belt)

Many thanks. Completely missed adding ammo to the belt.
