Great you try to play it!
Who have apreciated RMA based on builds ,it's so good!
(Of course not the same graphics,but all the russian community joins efforts to improved many aspect of the game.
I answer all your questions this evening,not many time now.

@Buzzard_Burbridge

this patch may the possibility to install and enjoy the Sergei mod pack (meteo ,shaders...),best for full dynamics settings.

I will post another possibility to make a good gamedata (better on static) with another great mod pack in version 0.4.
(unfortnately incompatible with mod Sergei)

Of course, new game is required with a new spawn.
I could enter Bar with this spawn.

Try first to lauch correctly an Russian 1.006 SoC game.

(For the moment I can't launch this mod in a ww version,too many files differents ,many crash ...will see but many time needed so I prefer play and test on russian game every think work fine on it!).

Then add the mod and the meteo shaders by Sergei

All files needed in dowload section.

Test launch,the game start correctly (all in cyrillic caracters).

Now,just modify the localization.ltx

[string_table]
language = eng
font_prefix = ;_cent ;_west

replace folder gamedata\config\gameplay (save the original)
and add the folder gamedata\config\text\eng

with the OLRenglish.rar from Buzzard_Burbridge.

Well, there's no 'localization.ltx' included with the mod, or in the translated part, so I borrowed that from another mod, and changed the parts accordingly.

Then, an error will pop up for a missing file, which I'll doubt I can copy over from different mods, and even if I had that particular one, I have the feeling more will be needed.

I'm playing this on the Russian 1.0006 pre-patched version as suggested, with the 1.1 + patch, and the meteo shaders, with the translation added on last.

Just use the vanilla english language files, and overwrite them with buzzard's files. But here are my files i'm played with (vanilla+buzzard's translation, not edited further):

Thanks, that allowed me to play up to the Cordon -> Garbage level changer. I like this version of the Cordon a lot better, it's just less populated.

Hello guys,

I'm in Radar level. Someone know how destroy this fucking military vehicle?

I can not get around it caused very large psy zone.
I used all my munitions and 3 grenades, but nope, it was intact and it killed me when i'm approaching.

I think that i need more grenades or a rpg7, but i don't know where i could find them. Damned.

Edit: Okay, i changed immunity section for btr in gamedata\config\models\vehicles folder. It was too hard.
Now, i'm searching acces code for Radar X-lab.

So here's all I did. Frankly I got sick of doing this and don't really want to any more, besides I"m going to be too busy this week. Maybe I will go through again and try to clean it up some more in the next couple weeks

ANYWAY! You should be able to play through the game and get a good idea of what's going on. The text files are really weird; it's a mash-up of vanilla text, AMK mod stuff is in there, and the mod's new storyline and quests. So it's a real pain to sort through and figure out what text is used and what isn't, since I didn't have time to do much testing and it's something like 4000+ lines of dialogue. Some is machine translated, the stuff I think is important to the story I cleaned up to make sense in English.

*Please play through and report crashes, weirdness, etc.
*I HIGHLY recommend you start a new game, as I saw some text I translated still showed up as cyrillic in save games.
*I don't ever want to do this again.
*Extract this and overwrite all the files (you should also make backups just in case) if you have and english version of stalker you should not need a localization.ltx, if you use another language or want to do it anyway, make sure your language.ltx points to 'eng'
*This translation was done on the original mod with the official 1.1 patch. If you want to try merging it with other addons/unofficial patches, you'll have to figure that out yourself.
 
Each word should be at least 3 characters long.
