I never had those problems...except artifact falling through graphics.

Use anomaly detector to find center of anomaly behind Black doctor, drop artifact in it and move few meters from it and wait with your back turned away and don't look until new artifact is created (sounds funny but i got better results with cooking turned away or out of switch_distance)

After that talk to the Doctor again and refuse to sell it to him...you should be able to jump down through fence.

If you keep getting cobblestones - save near doctor and exit to your desktop then run the game again.
DON'T save with artifact already thrown into the anomaly.

Also you should have meet with him earlier in the game and then again when cooking the Heart...if you haven't met him before the game is broken.

It was my second visit to the hospital. I don't think you can get that far without the first meeting having taken place.

Hmm...only that is left is to enter Hospital map again from previous save and try all actions again...but i bet you have tried that already...

Help needed

Hi, I am playing NS JP1 and stuck at the following

1) Finding D-parnol Tablet in Hospital in Estern Pripyat-- I have searched hospital but cannot find it

2) Red controller brain in Lab X8

3) Dennis Cache in Red Forest-- quest given by dennis after freeing him from mine

Sorry there was no-one to answer you, bsnl. I'm sure you worked it out by now, but just in case you've just spent several months locked in a paroxysm of frustration....

1 - It is spawned on top of a shelf unit, like a small bookcase. If it isn't there it will be in the inventory of one of the Monolith maniacs hanging about around there.

2 - Go down as deep as you can go, locate the foot of the elevator shafts and climb to the top of the one nearest the back wall. Deal with the burer problem up there the go into the room at the end of the walkway. You should see a rucksack on a shelf.

3 - Go to the 'Witching Circle' (that's something like what its called in Clear Sky). Through the tunnel where the hunters hang out and down in the bottom of the area beyond. Check the trees around the edge of the odd circular area with the central anomoly. Be warned: when you take this stash all hell lets loose - that being dozens of zombies and maybe eight controllers.

Go git 'em!

help needed

playing this again until op 2.1 is fully translated however have run into a game stopping problem,when i reach yantar the three collectors caches are empty stopping the progress of the game,ihave tried going back to before where you get the clue for yantar and restarted it again hoping that it would make the cache spawn,i have done this a dozen times but they still remain empty,i even uninstalled the game annd reinstalled it and started from the beginning but still the collectors caches in yanyar remain empty so has anyone got a fix for this or how to spawn the cache? i have been to all three places showing in the walkthrough, the wire fence, the three pipes and the tractor digging machine but they are all empty and could anyone tell me where the clue [A=1.4,9,7,7,5,18.Z=26] is i think this one is the digger but if it is not where is this location,many thanks

sorted the game became corrupted somehow but a fresh download and re-install fixed it

If it isn't in any of those places it is usually in a backpack on the small island in the swamp behind the lab. The Yantar 'Collector' stash is always a bit tricky.

'Collector' can fail completely at any point, but it doesn't stop you finishing the game - you just lose out on some goodies.

english speaking

i recently re installed JP 1 english to play again while waiting for OP 2.1 to be fully translated and have really enjoyed it, how ever i upgraded it to JP 1 enhanced and the spoken word has reverted to russian not english as in the original, what files or folders can be taken out of the original to get the english spoken again or is this even possible? i tried the sounds folder but this does nothing, any help welcome.

I would look at 'localisation'. But it might well be the wrong place for spoken dialogue. I think that's for the in-game text.

Sound files are .ogg files, aren't they? Look for a folder full of .ogg files. Its probably in there somewhere.

Or you could try asking NatVac on his ZRP thread - he does drop in here still.
