Translation?

Can somebody link me to the translation please?
---END QUOTATION---

Translation for what? The mod or the guide? Either way, both should be in the thread in the 'mod downloads' section.

The guide has been 'translated' already, but only with Google Translate, so it is a bit - well, a lot like gobbledegook. You need to be at least 60% insane and reading it using only your nose (NOT your eyes - that will just confuse the issue) to get much sense from it.

Having a bit of er, well, a problem, I suppose, with my latest foray into the NS Joint Pak PLO K MA Zone.

I start up the game and load the last save. Fine, everything works as it should. Then, when I transit to another map everything changes: when searching the third corpse/stash the items in the inventory of myself and whatever/whoever I'm searching start to fade. The fourth its almost invisible and on the fifth it has gone completely.

That's not the only 'feature'. All of the NPCs/mutants are present where they should be, but none of them are aware of me at all. I walked into Agroprom, went around head-shotting every soldier so that Mole and every one of the Stalkers survived (except the 5 Stalker permacorpses, of course), then went over to the military base and just went in and picked up the document case. Didn't bother shooting anyone.

This only happens after a level-change or reload. To get things moving I have to shut down the game and start it again.

This was a fully-functional gamedata (last time I used it) dropped into a fresh installation of the game patched to 1.0004, so what could have gone wrong to cause the above?

Anyone any ideas?

Astrologer dying?

Pretty sure that Astrologer is an important quest character for later on but he just keeps getting killed by a boar. I've restarted my playthroughs twice and he just keeps dying. Is there any way to make quest characters immortal or being able to revive them?

After loading a new game start it is best to speak to Astrologer, then get as far away from him as you can fast. When you hit switch distance he'll go offline and should survive. Beyond that, kill the boar.

There is a means of reviving NPCs, but it costs 300,000 Rubles from Sakharov or you need the recipe to cook your own.

Many have tried making important NPCs immortal, but it seems to cause a lot of problems.

Thing is that he dies while im in the rookie village and while im chilling. I even got up the amk message that a stalker died. Thanks for the help though. Ill probably just use cheat engine to get a 300k if a important npc dies.
thank you

For whatever reason, my Marked One isn't getting hungry. I mean, there's food everywhere, but no indicator for hunger is showing up. Did the mod maker remove that feature?

Also, how can I tweak the damage and health enemies do?

As I understand it, with some of the 'special' characters such as Ghost, you meet first in one map, split up again and meet later in another map - trying not to give away later bits - anyway, when you meet for the second time that will be an entirely different NPC. The first time you meet he has jobs for you. Better domplete them before he tells you he's going to another map, because it will be a new him at your next meeting, and he won't know anything about jobs.

What I'm getting at is, you meet Astrologer later in another map. So it almost certainly doesn't matter that he dies in Cordon. There'll be a new 'him' awaiting you in the undiscovered land.... ah, dammit! I was trying not to give anything away. Well, it wasn't anything you can't see on the map. By the way, that meeting happens just after the game does one of its 'let's turn some of the player's artifacts into cobblestones' tricks.

Not in this version. Sounds like something has failed to function. But that's nothing unusual in a Stalker game.

Damage to you? Why not just stick with the loner jacket you start out with. As it gets more damaged your enemies get better armed, you die a lot.

Actually changing the variables is frought with danger unless you know exactly what you're doing and what the creaky old X-Ray engine will make of what you're doing.

True, I could just use the loner jacket.

Back to the hunger issue - is there any way I can check that to fix it? I mean, there's gotta be some variable in the .ltx files for hunger. Did some Googling on this and someone said his hunger showed up after 5 in-game days. Maybe I just need to wait, but I've never heard of a human taking 5 days to get hungry.

Any way to increase the huger rate? I want to use the gallons of food I've found.

Tweak these two properties in config/creatures/actor.ltx:
satiety_v = 0.000022 ; rate of hunger - this is AA2.1's value and is a good rate
satiety_critical = 0.2 ; the point at which hunger causes health loss - 0.2 is 20% satiety

Edit: added AA2.1's value for satiety_v
