Patch 6 is up

OK,
Patch 6 is now up, a patch for 1_0_5 is also up but may be the last as 1_0_6 had to be done to be able to fully control Free Play, Multi-Player and coop AI. With this patch new content added to the game will work like a DLC (Downloadable Content) which will let us expand the Zone without effecting your saves.

I promise you'll love the changes and especially what we and dAVROs and Boutch, and others have in store for the future.

CRAZY STALKERS!!!

Hey PLEASE remember this IS a BETA, the goal of this project is to launch a dynamic on-line/lan multi-coop environment here in the US. Not just an AMK style MP but a whole new way to play, keep playing AND most importantly; EXPAND THE ZONE!
We want modders, that's why we are calling it the Modders Mega Mod.

If you have a weak machine for such a demanding game then you should wait, it takes patience to deal with CTDs and other annoyances.

Those inspiring to create... we embrace you and want to provide the tools YOU need to add integrated (like dAVROs) or bundled content as a DLC.
Even for the existing levels! Soon we will be layering game play so that when you have completed all tasks in a level... the next time you go there it will be a different game play. One example we are working on to test this is the addition of Secret Trails (Lost Trails to some) that will automatically start after the RECON is completed.
PLEASE; tell me how you like it, I want to know what YOU think.

MODDERS: Because of the amount of possible spoilers that would get posted here, Please email me instead. I will also be filling out the web site with information on solutions to game play issues. I will also be filling in descriptions and priorities for the info portions listed in the Teleport section. Please visit the site at least once a week to see it grow and learn more about our future. Get the patch and Please read the info in the Collector section at www.tecnobacon.com.

OLD SAVES on Patch 6

Everyone, Patch 6 uses a new TB3D_Modders.script file, many things changed, you must use the new one.
ALSO, old saves DO NOT WORK as the Collector only spawns and works in The Collector mode now, not in normal game. DO NOT use an after cave save game, use the teleporter to go to 'escape' after you start a new game as a STALKER. The Collector option will automatically end the main quest and cave for you.
Save game paket info has been expanded in the new version to support MP, COOP and dynamic linking, old saves WILL crash.

If you are having save game errors then you should remove your old save games (from 1_0_5 back) and the ALL.SPAWN, start again so a new ALL.SPAWN is created.

NEW PATCH

OK Please don't panic,
We had to re-link some of the old stuff to start creating new dialog that makes more sense in the Collector version and must have missed a file in the patch.
It will get corrected soon and will NOT effect your saves before the crash so hang in there. i added the right textures along with the fixed meshes in Aaz, should have been fine, I'll re-check.

So far, I have verified both starts and am preparing to add the new dialog and some game play adjust in Collector. Right now you will not see Sid's dialog if you go there before the Doctor because of this.

Any suggestions on the new dialog and modified game play for the Fox and main quests from Sid, please submit them.
Again, a fix will get posted for Garbage exit TODAY.

I ve started a new game, collector, with update 6 and my first assingment from Sid to get the star artifact wont conclude...no dialogue to finish the job.

Also Sid tells me about the special mission about Strelok and gives me the actual mission to retrieve the documents (?)...I thought that part was out of the collector.

FIXED GARBAGE EXIT!!!

It turns out that the edited .ogf files are getting the filename truncated due to a byte chunk mismatch.
SOLUTION: Use the old ump45_zeka from 1_0_1 and the texture silenñer.dds instead of silencer.dds in your textures folder, a patch is comming along with a drop weapon fix by MaxiePaxie who found some weapons missing from the ranking system, way to go!

I promise to keep my email open, so PLEASE send anything else as soon as you can.

Legacy OS will not run a large address aware patched 32bit exe, just won't happen. The max SHOC will ever get is 1gig. Sorry for those still running XP.

We are now creating new dialogs for the Collector so it makes more sense also the quests have been kept as they will just get changed as we go along. None of this will cause new games from now on, we will be able to add these changes seamlessly. the only quests completed in Collector and in the teleport to skip cave (escape) are the main task, doctor in cordon and the cave. We intend to give the Stargazer new dialog too.
We want suggestions for dialog and quests that could replace the Fox and Mil case quests, we are working on Dark Valley as it is the most screwed up right now.
