Probably not, though I vaguely recall that someone did get SoC to run on the 3120 engine.

yep soc runs with 3120, but has lots of issues, random xrgame crash at level changing, or the already cut pda features, such as notes, encyclopedia and the old tasks window, contacts and many more...

we also tried to move la project to that build, but it does not worth... since the missing features, however the sunflares already work in it which looks really nice.

Probably not, though I vaguely recall that someone did get SoC to run on the 3120 engine.

Something to tide y'all over...

Build 3120 (August 19th, 2007)

This build was used to publicly demonstrate Clear Sky gameplay at industry events. Its version of X-Ray was compiled a few days after build 3116, used in Shadow of Chernobyl's patch 1.0004, and it uses the 1.0004 main menu. Since it was meant to show off the new renderer features as well as faction warfare, it cannot run in static lighting mode.

What's in it?

3120 is a single-level tech demo, mostly using unaltered Shadow of Chernobyl assets. There are pretty lighting effects for those with speedy hardware. The demo features English character voices performed by none other than GSC's long-suffering PR man Oleg Yavorsky.

-Maps: the Marshes, geographically much like in the final release.
-Weapons: the Makarov, AKS-74U, AKS-74, LR-300 and SVD, all taken straight from the release version of SoC.
-NPCs: boars, two flavors of Clear Sky and standard loner and bandit varieties.

What's different?

The demo version of the Marshes begins with a military helicopter attack on the player. The Clear Sky faction models differ in small details. Scar wears a unique gray leather jacket, replaced by a standard brown jacket in the end version. There are two unused NPC textures which appear to belong to a cut spetsnaz_us faction.

What's left from it?

The overall scheme of assisting small teams of NPCs in attacking, seizing and defending strategic points was carried over to the final release. The initial mission to attack and hold the watchtower near the fishing hamlet was also retained, though not the sub-mission to grab a Dragunov and clear a path from on high. The copyright-free gun textures which THQ dumped into Shadow of Chernobyl at the end of its development were replaced by those originally created by GSC – many of them made from photos of real weapons – but neither the descriptive texts nor the inventory icons were updated to reflect this.
