Out of all the builds, 1935 is the only one I can't get to work, so I'd be interested in seeing more of this build.
---END QUOTATION---

Dude, you're missing out on ALOT! That mod is the original Stalker concept. You have to get it to work. There are faqs and stuff. Try deleting saves, patching, starting the right bat file. It's not that hard! Unless you have an Intel 386 PC.

It's somewhat depressing to be reminded of all that was supposed to have been . . . those maps, for example . . .

I used to be pissed off because of that, but as time goes on the community here brings all the pieces back together.

Just look at lost alpha or the narodanya soljanka translation project, you can't help but to see that the game is shaping up to be what we've always wanted.

But, defi keep it up, man - some of us don't have the time ATM to go exploring the older builds again . . . we are always up for some screenies

Illustrated Builds - Part II

It's baaaaaack...

Build 1935

Sidorovich in his bunker. "I have a couple of missions for you. When you are done, we'll call it quits..."
http://img267.imageshack.us/img267/3862/1935sidsbunker.jpg

Sidorovich gives only a few jobs in this build. The first one involves bringing him a Night Star from the factory.
http://img33.imageshack.us/img33/6127/1935sidconversation.jpg

Marked One checks his inventory. Note the separate belt and backpack, and that the knife, flashlight and detector can be moved around.
http://img33.imageshack.us/img33/6039/1935whatsinmypockets.jpg

Sidorovich's bunker from the outside.
http://img33.imageshack.us/img33/3355/1935sidsbunkeroutside.jpg

The rookie village is badly overgrown, and has no rookies.
http://img686.imageshack.us/img686/4237/1935rookievillagefirstl.jpg

"It's a jungle in here!"
http://img130.imageshack.us/img130/6350/1935rookievillageitsaju.jpg

It's hard to see everything, even from a distance.
http://img686.imageshack.us/img686/7741/1935rookievillagewide.jpg

Fatrap is also exploring the Cordon today.
http://img33.imageshack.us/img33/5776/1935fatrap.jpg

Marked One checks the news on his PDA. The news feature also appears in build 2205, but didn't make it to the final product. It's reactivated in mods such as AMK.
http://img26.imageshack.us/img26/8652/1935pdanews.jpg

PDA map of the southern Cordon. The HUD minimap isn't much use, as it isn't correctly aligned to the player's position.
http://img26.imageshack.us/img26/7216/1935pdacordonmap1.jpg

"Commander, some idiot with a camera is walking around down there. Should we light him up?" "Negative. The game will crash in a few minutes anyway." "Heh, understood. He lives for now."
http://img512.imageshack.us/img512/9646/1935mi24.jpg

Looking down at the southern outpost. "Hey Oleg, think we'll still be here when the game ships?"
http://img696.imageshack.us/img696/2124/1935firstpatrol.jpg

Walking north along the road. Tolik's future starting point is on the left and the familiar underpass tunnel is directly ahead, while the factory looms in the fog to the right.
http://img33.imageshack.us/img33/8729/1935familiarcordon.jpg

The tunnel itself has anomalies and a zombie in it. The zombie was cut, but stalkers in the final game will still warn the player about it.
http://img26.imageshack.us/img26/1900/1935zombieintunnel.jpg

The factory hasn't changed much since we last saw it.
http://img686.imageshack.us/img686/764/1935factoryoutside.jpg

A couple of stalkers check out the north side of the factory, while the Mi-24 circles in gleeful anticipation of Marked One's imminent CTD. Neutral stalkers in this build will actually shoot at the player if he doesn't put away his gun when ordered.
http://img130.imageshack.us/img130/1441/1935factoryrear.jpg
http://img130.imageshack.us/img130/9605/1935factorystalkers.jpg

"Keep that Mosin clean, maggot!"
http://img338.imageshack.us/img338/8457/1935mosinposter.jpg

The Night Star wanted by Sidorovich is on the second floor of the factory, along with a tricked-out L85.
http://img267.imageshack.us/img267/6227/1935factorystash.jpg
http://img696.imageshack.us/img696/3582/1935factorygoodies.jpg

Heading northeast from the factory, Marked One sees...
http://img26.imageshack.us/img26/6131/1935factorynorthexit.jpg

Actually, I'm not sure what this place is. The towers and the electric fence imply some kind of military installation.
http://img267.imageshack.us/img267/2893/1935whatisthisplace.jpg

It's not clearly marked on the overhead map, either. (The little arrow, not the big arrow.)
http://img26.imageshack.us/img26/4475/1935pdacordonmap2.jpg

Beyond it lies the railroad embankment.
http://img696.imageshack.us/img696/2320/1935embankment.jpg

There's a derailed locomotive, but it's much closer to the bridge than it is in the release version.
http://img686.imageshack.us/img686/5205/1935locomotive.jpg

The bridge itself, like the factory, hasn't changed much. There are soldiers guarding it, however, and they don't take bribes.
http://img26.imageshack.us/img26/467/1935bridge.jpg

Standing north of the bridge and looking west across the road at the abandoned pig farm.
http://img696.imageshack.us/img696/5710/1935pigfarm.jpg

Looking northward from the same place. No sign of Fox, though there is a wounded stalker by the building and another three-man military patrol on the road.
http://img130.imageshack.us/img130/1879/1935findfox.jpg

Looking back at the bridge.
http://img338.imageshack.us/img338/2966/1935lookingatbridge.jpg

At last, the Garbage exit.
http://img512.imageshack.us/img512/4872/1935northexit1.jpg
http://img338.imageshack.us/img338/6632/1935northexit2.jpg

Marked One arrives in the Garbage and soon realizes that his travel guide is completely useless.
http://img23.imageshack.us/img23/6641/1935garbagefirstlook.jpg
http://img188.imageshack.us/img188/1235/1935garbagesecondlook.jpg

The PDA map shows a long, hard slog ahead.
http://img33.imageshack.us/img33/6186/1935garbagepdamap1.jpg
http://img96.imageshack.us/img96/8096/1935garbagepdamap2.jpg

Advancing a short distance, Marked One finds the remains of a fellow traveler.
http://img96.imageshack.us/img96/971/1935garbagefellowtravel.jpg
http://img408.imageshack.us/img408/971/1935garbagefellowtravel.jpg

Garbage to left of him, garbage to right of him, garbage in front of him...
http://img188.imageshack.us/img188/3315/1935garbagetoleft.jpg
http://img188.imageshack.us/img188/9423/1935garbagetoright.jpg

The road north is pretty well out of order.
http://img249.imageshack.us/img249/7345/1935garbageroadout1.jpg
http://img249.imageshack.us/img249/6940/1935garbageroadout2.jpg

To the west, a zombie and a pig fight for dominance of an electrical anomaly.
http://img512.imageshack.us/img512/7133/1935garbagetherecanbeon.jpg

A bloodsucker cheers them on until a passing stalker lights him up.
http://img408.imageshack.us/img408/5350/1935garbagesucker.jpg
http://img96.imageshack.us/img96/5590/1935garbagestalker.jpg

Several setpieces from this version of the Garbage were retained in the final game, including the half-demolished structure near the Duty checkpoint and these massive storage tanks. Their positions were completely shuffled, however.
http://img408.imageshack.us/img408/3660/1935garbagebigtanks.jpg
http://img188.imageshack.us/img188/4690/1935garbagebigtanks2.jpg

This building looks awfully familiar...
http://img512.imageshack.us/img512/9356/1935garbagebigtanks3.jpg

On the other side of the awfully familiar building is another set of tracks. Like a good citizen, Marked One looks left and right before crossing.
http://img512.imageshack.us/img512/6750/1935garbagetracksleft.jpg
http://img188.imageshack.us/img188/1272/1935garbagetracksright.jpg

Over at the east end of the tracks, a stalker checks out a tunnel filled with fire anomalies.
http://img23.imageshack.us/img23/7398/1935garbagetrackstunnel.jpg

Marked One looks back from the tunnel entrance.
http://img188.imageshack.us/img188/802/1935garbagetracksback.jpg

At that point the game CTD again and I decided to call it a day. I can keep working on 1935, or skip ahead to 2205 - it's your call. In the meantime, there's also this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vSIkw9xr23U

Totally irrelevant.I always feel that the atmosphere would of been better if they had the cordon stalker village situated OUTSIDE the zone perimeter. Then the bridge as it is now would of had tons of army men walking the length of the train tracks and so no chance of entry. But thru Sidorovich you get access in from one shady military person who allows people in for a price situated under the tunnel.

Another thing would of been kool is the bridge being a checkpoint and if you stand there you see military trucks filled with troops entering and leaving the zone. They of course are there to kill any stalkers who try to bring the artifacts out to sell on the blackmarket.

Instead we have a stalker rookie camp situated right inside the military outpost and a guy tryingto talk people out of going any further into zone on a megaphone while drinking vodka. Tons of military men everywhere, trucks with troops coming and going, helicoptors traversing the perimeter and sirens blazing would of really made enteringthe zone seem forbidden.

Here's how the 1511 alpha SEVA suit looked like:

And here's a 'fixed' version I made for my TBD mod.

---QUOTATION---
I still think that the 1114 Cordon looks better than the retail one.
---END QUOTATION---

I sure liked the pylons and the factory.

---QUOTATION---
Was there any info on build 1850? I heard that it's a fully functional build, but that it's locked by a password.
---END QUOTATION---

It's thought to be a mid-2004 multiplayer build with an MP Agroprom map and possibly some SDK stuff, but nobody has been able to get it unpacked yet. If anyone does, I will most definitely add it to the guide.
