It's baaaaaack...

Build 1935

Sidorovich in his bunker. "I have a couple of missions for you. When you are done, we'll call it quits..."

The tunnel itself has anomalies and a zombie in it. The zombie was cut, but stalkers in the final game will still warn the player about it.

The factory hasn't changed much since we last saw it.

A couple of stalkers check out the north side of the factory, while the Mi-24 circles in gleeful anticipation of Marked One's imminent CTD. Neutral stalkers in this build will actually shoot at the player if he doesn't put away his gun when ordered.

Several setpieces from this version of the Garbage were retained in the final game, including the half-demolished structure near the Duty checkpoint and these massive storage tanks. Their positions were completely shuffled, however.

Out of all the builds, 1935 is the only one I can't get to work, so I'd be interested in seeing more of this build.

But, defi keep it up, man - some of us don't have the time ATM to go exploring the older builds again . . . we are always up for some screenies

I used to be pissed off because of that, but as time goes on the community here brings all the pieces back together.

Just look at lost alpha or the narodanya soljanka translation project, you can't help but to see that the game is shaping up to be what we've always wanted.

Dude, you're missing out on ALOT! That mod is the original Stalker concept. You have to get it to work. There are faqs and stuff. Try deleting saves, patching, starting the right bat file. It's not that hard! Unless you have an Intel 386 PC.

this is a great thread. it's really nice to be able to read about the builds without having to make sense of google translations (i'll learn russian someday!!). 1154 and 2205 were terribly fascinating for me, 1154 mostly for the AI (going prone and rolling around? hell yeah), but i could never get 1935 running for more than like ten minutes so these screendumps are awesome.
