A couple of years ago there was a place in Texas selling the HK91 used by Val Kilmer in one scene from Heat. They also had the Galil used by Tom Sizemore.

WOW!! Never would've thought that J&G would be selling real HK91's! That's unbelievable and they're pretty damn proud of their price too!
I bought another HK91 last Apr. on Gunbroker for $2K and it came with ARMS claw mount, deflector, 12 - 20rd. mags, extra HK butt stock/forearm and some other little things.

German bayonets for rifles before the Gewehr 98 were generally attached using a muzzle ring and a lug on the forward stock band, but Mauser introduced a new type of lug for the M98 which mounted the bayonet only to the stock without needing the ring.

The reason was that a bayonet attached to the muzzle altered the barrel's harmonics, and thus where the bullet would strike relative to the sights' point of aim. (This is also the reason why Mosin rifles were zeroed with the bayonet attached.)

Despite this, some foreign copies of the Mauser 98 were issued with bayonets that still had the ring.

I seem to remember that the very early variants of the German bayonets also had the muzzle ring ?

That appears to be a Yugoslavian Mauser bayonet for an M24/47 or M48. It will probably fit, but original German bayonets don't have that muzzle ring.

You are correct, there are some Cyrillic letters on the blade near the hilt.

But that is fine with me since I have 1950 Czech Mauser.
The bayonet fits perfectly on the rifle

The rifle, trench magazine, the bayonet:
