I had the above error, after this error I tried these:
disabled more cpu core, I played just with one.
deleted the saved games from folder
started the game with run_w.bat
and it worked.

i had a dream about this old game. worked on it for almost 1 year, and now its over, since we saw the old maps.

the question is: i guess some of you know that we worked on lost alpha project since 2008 january. so we have our own deadcity done and rostok factory and some garbage and swamp.

we decided to stop, but have a good idea since we got many mails since this release to not to stop and i guess im not egoist if i say that we are among the few (2 other mod team can do that, and us) who can bring back maps and attach back to single.

so in short we plan to do this:

- use our deadcity and rostok factory, and attach back some old maps from this build to shoc, and that will be the base of lost alpha, which could be released faster then.

- or we stop, and after priboi 1.2 we disappear.

i will open a poll about it when i get home, but if you feel to comment, pls do that in priboi thread.

Dez, we should go with option one. We can't stop now. We have all the old maps, they just need tweaking and fixing.
Our deadcity is better that GSC's imo. With all the new models, textures and levels we have, we can make these maps and our own even better.

Just to say, i will do whatever needs to be done for lost alpha.

dez, I guess it must be frustrating having worked many months on recreating something that is now available. I admire you and the rest of the team for this effort and I think that you should instead see this as an opportunity - now you can see how it really looked. I still think that you should move forward with your levels but now that you have the original ones you might want to add a thing or two
