Hey DC- No credit for me on that Tuskano bug! I just happened to read about it on a couple of posts in the Russian forum... one post was by > Ikernel < and another was by IG-2007. Anyhow, NatVac is doing all the hard work here.... I'm just bird-dogging a few things! And just like you, I had been wondering what was going on with the Tuskano relationship with the NPC's.....

Oops, didn't look in here for quite some time, nice job NatVac!

I'll make sure to merge it with aliVe, after the next version of this fix is out.

Also Fatrap should be given an award for finding the tushkano - NPC bug, funny thing is, I've been looking for the bug reason in the game_relations.ltx myself about 20 minutes ago.

Thanks for the diff - that'll make the merge go a *lot* easier. (Too bad your tools only output standard diffs, not universal ones. Universal ones are a *lot* easier to read...)

Well, there is no exolog_outfit; it should be ecolog_outfit -- but there is no ecolog_outfit "in the wild"; you only get it from a secret stash or from Sakharov, not the all.spawn file. It would only be a problem when someone tried to add it to the game via the binary file.

And the other items make sense to me: The names that have hyphens or periods in them are wrapped in quotes to keep them from being incorrectly parsed.

It's a simple edit to fix the exolog_outfit situation. The acdc.pl file is just a text file.

Cool stuff, Fatrap. I still hope you get better soon, but I sure wish I were as productive as you are when sick!

Hey NatVac.... I think I have found a reference to a bug in bardaks 1.0004 BFA, possibly in the all.spawn file??? I will post the message from the Russian forum and let you see what I am talking about. BTW... I have been using my recuperation time reading the Russian forums. There is a wealth of information there... you just have to struggle with the translations. And there are tons of messages to go through. For instance, bardak has 70 pages of messages regarding his BFA mods!

Правильное название брони - ecolog_outfit - только вот влияет это на что-нибудь или нет - не знаю. The correct name of armor-ecolog_outfit only has an impact on something, or is not, I do not know.
А ещё (но это вряд ли относится к ошибкам) есть такие строки к примеру: And yet (but it is unlikely to apply to mistakes), there are lines for example:

'ammo_11.43x23_fmj' ............ 'ammo_11.43x23_fmj' ............
'ammo_11.43x23_hydro' .......... 'ammo_11.43x23_hydro' ..........

Хотя и другие предметы не заключаются в апострофы (вроде так называется одинарная кавычка). While other subjects are not apostrophes (like the so-called single quote).

Aww, again? I just partially synced to 1.02 (I have yet to decompile your all.spawn to merge it) and already you've got a new update in the works. *whines*

The only real change that matters is the news_manager.script fix. Here's the diff for the all.spawn stuff. Edit: Since silverpower got the info, I removed it to reduce clutter; it is available upon request for others, but the newer files will include it.

I'll be including a diff file or two in future releases. Also, the Dark Valley stuff will change; even though no more money is taken, the scene repeats and it shouldn't.

Wow, Fatrap! That's great news! Thanks for going through the trouble to research the find and report the fix. You rock! Even without the alcohol.

That's one more item I can scratch off the list.

If anyone else has something that bugs them or reasonable requests that don't change the gameplay, the sooner you post them, the faster they can be addressed...

Hey NatVac... here is something I ran across in the Russian forum the other day. It concerns the behavior of the NPC's toward the Tushkano. In the game_relations.ltx file there is a typo in the [monster_relations] section. If you look at the 2nd line (line 198) under the "human" settings, you will see that there is a comma missing after the first entry. (After the 0 )

human = 0 1, 0, -1, etc....

By putting the missing comma back in, the NPC;s will now view the Tuskano as enemies and shoot them on sight instead of just standing there and getting destroyed by them. There is not a lot of interaction between the NPC's and the Tuskano in the vanilla game, but since either the 1.0004 patch or bardaks fixes, they now are back in the Wild Territory and you do have a task to destroy them.
That missing comma throws every relationship off in this line. I have been working on a patch for my mods that allows you to put back in the cut-out mutants and adds in more of the standard ones. It puts a lot of Tuskano back in... and this fix really shows up then. Looks a whole lot more realistic to see the NPC's fight back.

Decane, open up gamedata\config\misc\script_sound.ltx in a text editor and change the bar_dolg_leader entry's 0 to 1 in the [state_rnd] section at the top of the file. Look at the bar_general and bar_dolg entries as examples of what to do.

I can't test this right now (thunderstorms in the area make for power glitches and outages, and I don't have a UPS on the game PC), but I'm pretty sure this is all you need to do to silence General Voronin.

You can see from that section that you can also quiet Petrenko, and you can look through the rest of the file for other sound sources you find irritating, and silence them the same way.
