I am going to make the telepathic damage of the blowout a bit less. With the current settings it will kill you instantly.

Keep in mind that this version is very different from the Original Priboi Story, and somewhat different from PSO 3.2.5.

It is more harsher, and the Zone is more unforgiving, firefights are harder, resources are more limited.


The Cordon will not be easy, and you will not be able to leave right away.

I have not heard from anyone playing the test version. So either it is working for them, or no one is playing it

Save games from PSO3.3 Test-version will not work in the final version, since I modify the all.spawn in this final tweak/test.


I guess you didnt see my post on the downloads page, probably should have posted here... Anyway, I edited the script file so I could at least finish the quest. Made no difference, still no open paths out of the cordon.

Thanks for the feedback, it makes the last tweaking, a bit easier when I get some feedback on how the choices I made in the mod, affects players .

Once you complete the task, and deliver the 20 bottles, you will have to save, and reload the last save, then the level changers appear.
I am looking into how to get the script executed once you deliver the 20 bottles.

You should be able to scrounge up 20 bottles, it will just take some time I did it in my testing. I could add some more bottles to some boxes, and stashes around Cordon. Nimble the trader always has one in stock. The traders always restock, when you get out of range (when they go offline, and online again), or if you reload a save.


2 quick things I want to throw at you:
I have a personal flash drive that will load into an artifact slot.
Does it really need to be there for my character?
You gave us so few slots, I need all I can for artifacts.
You should have it work from within my main inventory.

When I remove any armor, my inventory icon shows a picture of me in a Military Assault suit (SKAT-9 maybe)
When I first saw it I was like, wow!, when did I get this Armor!?
It should be a plain shirt or something.

Not a fan of the one-shot-one-kill, so I am pondering so manual edits.
I blew away an NPC from 40ft with a cheap shotgun...

Mod is stable so far, off to pripyat for the 4th document

The flash drive is just something that they put in the mod originally.
I do not know the function, I do not think it serves any purpose, other than just being there, I have never used it. You do not need it in your artifact belt.

Yes the inventory picture when you remove the armor has been bugging me since the beginning of the overhaul.
I have not yet found a way to restore the old vanilla icon that shows you in pants and a sweater when you are not wearing an armor.

It is something I am trying to change

Shotguns are pretty brutal at close range, they have been gimped at a certain range.
The sawn-off shotguns have a very limited range.

It might need some tweaking, but in regards to weapons, and weapon damage, it is quite difficult to please all. People want different things.

I will look them over, people/players can take it as it is, or change them to their liking.
The Overhaul is my vision of the mod, and how I like it to be, and some people might disagree.

But again change what you feel you need to change. I am no master over the mod once it is released.


Got the code for door 1 of X18 from the stash in the sarcophagus, but I am now stuck at the CNPP, the Level changer to Pripyat is missing, no way to leave...

Sorry I just checked, yes that is missing, I have corrected that, let me just find a way on how you can run the new zlc script to activate the levelchanger.

I am looking into how you can execute the script

Edit: Is your email still the one that is listed in your profile? I can send you info on how to modify the correct script you get all your gear, and the required vodka bottles you need if you use the new version I have uploaded to semak.dk, and you decide to start a new game.

I found this, where you can modify/create a hotkey, to execute a script, then you should be able to execute the zlc.script, and activate the level changer.

Spend, 2½ days in-game to get the 20 bottles of Vodka. So it can be done, however it will take some time, Sold of most of what I found, and had, including the detector
Killed all the mutants, and Zombies in the area, to sell of their body parts to stalkers.
Added a vodka bottle to some of the stashes, I think some players would find it extremely frustrating to run around Cordon for 2-3 days to get the 20 bottles

Corrected some more spelling errors.

In the PDA the picture of the added Vodka bottles, do not match the text, it is correct with picture, and text in the traders inventory, when you click them. I am not to bothered about that, not something I want to use a lot of time on trying to fix.

Blowouts will kill you, fairly quickly, even with a lot of Psy Protection. This is how I intend to keep it. As a bonus, you have about 30 seconds more to get into cover than previously.

Reduced the range of the sawn-off shotguns, and the full length shotguns & Pump-guns. They are more close range weapons now.

Changed the icon of Priboi in the Inventory screen, when he is not wearing armor he just has a sweater, boots, and trousers.

The Binoculars still tend to stick for a second on the screen when you lower them from your eyes. I think it is related to some of the textures I added. Not sure if I want to spend copious amounts of time on fixing that

I would like to make the anomalies more deadly, i have tweaked some of the settings, but they are not deadly enough yet.

Great, now all you need to do is turn on the Monolith Control/CNPP2 level change so I can reach the extraction point and end this mod.

Is the level-changer from Monolith control to the last level also gone?
I do not remember having tampered with that. But I will check that

I am testing to see if the new LC I have added from Monolith Control to AES2 is working.
I am uploading the fixes, both in the test version, and the scripts.7z file on my webpage, which contains just the files for the level changer.

The latest script I have uploaded works, it adds the missing level changer.

There are only a few more things to do be done, before the final release is published.


I think that when it is released, I will not do anything more on the Overhaul.
If there are some game breaking bugs that pop up, an update will be released at some point.
For now I will just enjoy the game once it is released.

I think I am done

As always, there is a feeling that there is something I have forgotten to check, but that will probably be clear once I play the game

It has been renamed Priboi Story Overhaul 2020.

I have decided that any fixes, or updates, will not change this name. Fixes/updates will be added, and the mod will be uploaded in full to my website.
The patch will also be available as a separate entity, so people will not have to download the whole thing again.

The old 3.2.5 will remain on the website, the new Priboi Story Overhaul 2020 is very different than the old version, and some people will probably prefer the old version.

Much has changed, and the Read-Me is quite long.
This version is intended to be a lot harder than the previous versions, and making the economy more challenging.

There are some things that I have decided not to implement, for example:
Removing the fire from the roof of the Power Plant.
A glitch in the arm texture when using some of the weapons that were imported from OWR.
Making the anomalies much more deadly.

I could tinker, and fiddle with the last details.
However, I made the decision one late night, that just to bin it, and get it done.

My thought was that I could spend the next 3-6 months going over the small minute details, and make it just perfect, but to be honest, I just want to finish, and enjoy playing the mod again.

Having been knee deep, and up to my elbows in the game-files for quite some time now, it is time to enjoy the fruits of my, and the people who assisted me, labor

NatVac, and kdragon have been of an immense help in this final stretch to release. .

Possible spoiler below

I have a small exploit, the General, and the Colonel from Duty, both have a task for the bandits in Dark Valley, so it might be a good idea to have both tasks active when going there, double the reward, for the same work, two birds with one stone

The X-virus timer was increased, since it runs pretty fast on modern PC's, if you cap the games FPS to 30 FPS, it runs at normal speed.
I don't know any other way to fix it, but you should be in possession of the X-virus when you need it first time, and you should have ample time to find the last one when you need it in the game.

As i am playing through the game. I can see that there are some things i still need to change.

Nothing groundbreaking, but it will involve modifying the all.spawn hence a new game will be required.
However, I do not plan on releasing this in the near future.
It will be released before Christmas 2020.
The name of the mod will not change, nor will I call it Priboi Story Overhaul 2020 Update xy, or something like that

Provided anyone else but me is playing it

If you come across some campfires where the NPC's are standing in the fire.
Please post the location here.
I can fix that in the all.spawn.
The quick fix is to delete the campfire in all.spawn, the barrel is still there, just with some embers smouldering in the barrel instead of a fire.
Somehow this prevents the NPC's from standing the fire
