The Lone Stalker Story

(part 1)

I'm saving this story from the other bar, cause I'll continue it some time: I've got ideas...

*staring at the desert bar*

Can't believe I've walked over 12 000 miles for that... Such a lame ending... It was supposed to be someone here...

*hearing a strange noise behind me*

Wtf ! My contact betrayed me ! Ambush !

*jump, roll, run like a rabbit*

*pant...*

Now I should be safe again... I know they're scanning the area... Who can you trust nowadays ? What have they expected ? And for what ? If they were not happy with the deal, thay just had to say it ! I've got nothing they can steal from me... Why ?... F*cking mystery !

*stare at the faithfull knife blade in the shining moon*

They'll never get me alive !

I'll wait untill the sun comes out. I know they can't stand day light... Then, I'll calmly walk my my way home while they'll have to hide in dirty underground darkness...

I'm wondering how I ever came to the idea I could ever trust one of those bandits: everybody knows they've got no honour... They live with the snorks, proly breed with them... Weird stories I've heard are certainly far under the awfull truth.

The worst part of it all, is that my own brother is one of them... That's why I walked so long, why I tried to deal with them: I wanted to see him. Maybe to take him away from that hopeless life...

Now...

(to be continued)

How did the Teutonic Knights carry their swords? Weren't they similar length?
---END QUOTATION---

I don't know about that. I can only guess they carried the longest *battle*swords on their back for travel purpose, and had "normal" sword on side in case of emergency...

---QUOTATION---
I see your point. Ok, so we'll use the 3 1/2 foot Ninja Katana I also brought along. I know I can keep that on my back (because I've done it in RL).
---END QUOTATION---

Well, can't even say what 3 ½ foot is... Ever used metric system... How long is your arm from shoulder to fist ?

(Btw, alt 0189 == ½ )

This blade drags if it isn't lashed to your back, unfortunately. A bit unwieldy, but cuts like a hot butcher's knife through warm butter.
---END QUOTATION---

No no... even "unlashed", it *must* be shorter than your arm: try it with a stick if you don't have a sword... It goes up... you pull... and the point of the blade is still "inside" whatever is keeping it on your shoulder... Hard to describe, but true.

*pulls a 4 1/2 foot long bastard sword from his scabbard across his back.*

---END QUOTATION---

I've had a Napoleonic Heavy Cavalery straight saber "Duc de Kugentahl 1813". I was curious to try having it in my back, like you see in the comic strips and such. The result: if the sword is not quiet shorter than your arm, you can't pull it out, lol...

(yes, yes, I've made fencing).

*checks the schedule board*
I'd like to join in one of the fights next time around. I'm pretty handy with this.

*pulls a 4 1/2 foot long bastard sword from his scabbard across his back.*

You don't find these babies in the zone.

*resheathes the weapon*

Don't worry, I have a plastic composite cover that makes it dull as a butter knife, it just hurts to get hit with.

With my foot.

Or I can challenge him to a Mortal Kombat style duel in the PB Pit in the basement. Actually, that's a great idea!

Bets! Place your bets, people! Help Siro fund the "Railway to Heaven!"
