Is it a popular actress? Their loss.

Reactions on Twitter that saw Carano’s comparison as anti-Semitic helped the hashtag #FireGinaCarano trend across the platform.

This doesn't sound racist to me, more like someone that's been influenced by African-American street language. Isn't multiculturalism a good thing? Granted, many African-Americans don't want other African-Americans to use the scary word either, but surely they can't blame other ethnicities for being influenced by the rude language of their own? I'd go so far as calling it totalitarian: being able to say anything you want, while denying others the same freedom. Imagine if only European-Americans were allowed to use certain words...

Three Mile Island

When I was a child, we were taught:

"Sticks and stones may break my bones
But words shall never hurt me.
"

Which was great advice to let a bully know whatever words they uttered were useless. Apparently this is no longer taught and children are empowered to have their feelings elevated to astronomical levels. If someone dares to hurt your feelings, they must be ostracized and made aware of how much damage they are causing to society in general

So here we are in the 21st Century, with ridiculous nomenclature like the "n" word, the "c" word or the "r" word, of things supposedly so terrible they can no longer be spoken, like we fear saying the word "Voldemort" in the Harry Potter books.

If you tell anyone a certain word causes you emotional distress...then you've just empowered them with revealing your weakness. Giving others power over you is not a wise or adult thing to accomplish. You make other people aware of how to increase the anguish or torment that you create in your mind to be offended about. It's all in your head but because you allow your fabricated feelings to rule you, you allow yourself to become sad, angry or demeaned when it is repeated.

Such is the present day situation with the "n" word. The ridiculous dilemma where Black people freely saturate their music, books, movies and other Cultural references to each other but magically become offended when another person uses it who is a different skin color. If a word only offends you when spoken by a person being white and not black, is that not racist?

Why Black people want to empower White people to let them know a word upsets them and causes them emotional distress is downright comical. Why let people rule you that way? I recently asked a Black friend of mine what he thought the most offensive word he could call a White person and he said "peckerwood". I laughed and told him "Seriously? That's the most offensive thing you can come up with?" He looked confused and offered "Cracker" and "Honky" and he couldn't understand why I wasn't offended. I told him those are like childish jabber and I said there wasn't a single word he could come up with that would bother me.

We live in a society where saying "Colored Person" is highly offensive but using "Person of Color" shows we are a progressive and modern. A common term "Retarded" is now labeled offensive, and we have come up with a slew of new word combinations to say the same thing. I find all of this so stupid. We have degenerated into a classroom of children, crying at being called a name.

They've replaced the Batwoman first season white lesbian actress with a second season black woman. Cultural appropriation? Why is it okay to replace white established characters with non-white people, but when you use white people in established non-white character roles, it causes outrage?

Isn't a Man adopting the clothing, shoes and hairstyles of women simply appropriating the ever-changing visual clues and styles we associate with women? That doesn't make you a woman, but only a man who likes the trappings and adornments we associate with one specific gender. You haven't actually changed your sex but merely adopted the way the opposite sex dresses.

What happened to using the term Bisexual for liking both genders? Now we have bizarre terms for basically describing the same thing.

That's true when words are used in malice, but is anyone really distressed by a word when it's used in an obviously benevolent way? I think the outrage is usually feigned to guilt-trip the offender, which then actually empowers the allegedly distressed person. It works precisely because most offenders are not racist (if they were they wouldn't feel guilt-tripped).

I think "white" is mildly offensive, it sounds like you are sick or something. Add to that today's Identity Politics, trying to label "whiteness" as something negative. A difference could be that the historical subjugation of Black Americans makes it harder for a Black person to insult a White for racial reasons. It's like if a European would try to guilt-trip a North African for the Barbary slave trade (I doubt that would work).

The more complicated the rules are, the easier it becomes for the experts at the game to push other people around. The latter is the real goal, of course.

It's all mock outrage to promote and continually reinforce the "I'm a victim" mentality. This ensures you are never responsible for your own actions. The newest catchphrase is "systemic racism". I committed this crime due to systemic racism. I'm being harassed by the Police due to systemic racism. I'm in prison due to systemic racism. No matter what the situation, the victim mentality always suspends personal responsibility and fabricating outrage for trivial actions of others places the blame elsewhere.

It's all pretty stupid. "Person of Color"? Does that make a White person a "Person without Color"? Liberals love to label everything. Divide and sow hate and resentment. If someone works hard and has something and you don't... and don't want to work for it either, then it's the other person's fault they won't share.

Yesterday's terms and names are today's outrage. What is politcally correct today will be offensive and outrageous tomorrow. The never ending cycle of mock outrage.

I guess they want to use the land to grow vegetables.

I say if they want to push vegetables on people for the sake of animals, do it to the Third World where they have limited resources to feed and maintain livestock.

Likewise, if they want to push synthetic beef on people, do it to the Third World where they have limited resources to feed and maintain livestock.

I have zero interest into becoming a vegetarian or eating synthetic beef. If I was poor and people around me were starving, I might change my tune.

Indeed, only the fact that the male actor is black makes the audience realize what goes on in the scene.

Reminds me of one of my exes. That relationship didn't last.
