Subnautica

Well, what's the point in the game having slowly recharging batteries if you can just skip the wait? Why not let them recharge instantly in the first place? Note that sleep is not necessary in the game (you never get tired). I guess it could make some sense if crafting a bed was difficult somehow, but I don't remember that being the case.

I use to make two sets of batteries, exactly so that I don't have to wait. When out swimming around I use one set, while the other is recharging back at the base. Growing food might be an even better example, because you may risk starving while the plant is still growing, forcing you to plan ahead.

Subnautica

I'm more likely to try Subnautica than the Dinosaur game, but I just never see it at 50% off or more. If it is, even 40% would do, let me know.

Subnautica

Both games are worth full price. Also check that you don't have ARK already, I got mine free on Epic.

The differences between them are:

In ARK animals are your biggest threat, in Subnautica it's drowning and dehydration.

ARK seems much bigger, both in playing time, area size and number of animals. Subnautica's gameworld instead has much more vertical (deep sea) topography, so the total "volume size" may even out between the two games.

ARK has more realistic graphics, while Subnautica's colors seem a bit childish at times (but you get used to that, and it still looks very nice).

Subnautica was the first weekly giveaway on EPIC but I missed that one

I have played it during early access on Steam though & it was good, now it looks even better so I need to install it again.

Doesn't Early Access include the finished version of a game too?

Original Subnautica is highly recommended, it revived my enthusiasm for gaming.

You mean "final Early Access update" release. Your post made it look like it hadn't been released yet, which was confusing since I know it already has been.

It should. I got The Long Dark in Early Access and even though it's been many years ago, they just keep producing new content year after year.

Still waiting for this to go on sale 40% or better. I've got 37 Steam Games on my Wish List and not a single one of them is on sale.

I have been doing my best to ignore early access spoilers and have May 14 circled on my calendar.

Tejas, I think the "final Early Access update" was the one that was released a couple of days ago (the last to add new features). Then I suppose the game will be debugged until May 14.
