It is the customer's own problem that they allowed this to happen in the first place. And they should be adults and in control of themselves and their wallet, not insane hedonistic wackos that cant help themselves.

In a sense I hope it gets worse. Gamers did this unto themselves... they reap what they sow. The government should not defend people from being spineless or dumb.

Individuals shouldn't have to be penalised for other peoples stupidity, I imagine the majority of the micro transaction sales go to kids who's parents are paying for it.

Sure as hell makes me regret dropping $70 preordering
---END QUOTATION---

One should never preorder games...

But also keep in mind it's a long game, I'm well over 100 hours and haven't finished yet. Compare that with $70 games that just last 10 hours or so. You'd have to replay one of those 10 times to get the same amount of playtime, but how many games are worth 10 replays?

Exactly. Children using their parent's money who have little concept
of what a waste they are spending in the game's value or young people
making unwise decisions because they just have to have some digital
trinket. Likewise, I can't see spending over $40 for any digital game.
If Game Devs want more $, they better give me physical, real extras.

If you consider yourself part of the Elite, then it is also on YOU for not steering the lesser ones in the right direction. That is how society in general works.

I sure as hell take a part of the blame that I didn't manage to influence people enough to help them not be stupid. But such is life. Ultimately they suffer more than I do so all is well. IMHO they deserve to be milked more.

I suggest just waiting a bit with purchasing a game or going for sales. With that being said... games are usually 50 USD (or 60 sometimes because of the Console scum) and have 15-30 USD Season Passes. It has been like that for years IRC.

I have played this game. Its not that bad but it didn't overcome my expectations.

Mass Effect Andromeda

Game is not as bad as I feared, but there are still some awful bugs in patch 1.10 (better solutions than just loading earlier saves are much appreciated):

- Any saves done in the ground vehicle take minutes to load. At least the saves do load eventually, at first I thought they were completely broken. It's best to always make manual saves outside the vehicle.

- Autosaves sometimes stop working, especially in missions where manual saves are not allowed. This forces you to replay long stretches every time you get killed, which is especially annoying due to the grinding nature of ME's fighting.

- In one mission (Voeld - Remove the Heart) there's a door that won't open after the first reload. Apparently the only fix is to load an earlier save, if you have one.

A random gay NPC asked me out of the blue if the engineer (Gil) on my spaceship was "available", followed by the gossiping engineer forwarding me (supposedly his superior) a personal email sent by the NPC. Hardly makes you feel like you're in the Andromeda galaxy, more like watching Sex And The City.

Otherwise the game is generally free of pink-washing, but those who search shall find: http://www.ign.com/wikis/mass-effect-andromeda/Sex_and_Romance#List_of_Characters_You_Can_Romance

Let's take a closer look on the statistics. Of the two human crew members on the ship (Gil and Suvi), both are gay. A remarkable excess, especially considering that in ME3 two out of three prominent crew members (Cortez and Traynor) were gay too (the third had a relationship with a robot). The other two humans on the ME:Andromeda spaceship are straight squad mates, while all romanceable non-humans seem bisexual (if gender makes any sense at all in relationships between humans and extra-terrestial aliens).

There's also an exact 50/50 male-female NPC distribution on the ship, both among humans and aliens (at least if you count the Asari as female). In the squad selection menu the squad mates are even sorted in neat male and female columns.

Finally, I'm a bit puzzled how Bioware can get away with sexual relationships between humans and aliens --why isn't this considered beastiality? Is it because the aliens are humanoid and can speak? But in fables animals walk on hindlegs and speak too, and that doesn't make sexual intercourse with them acceptable, AFAIK.

Now I've finished the main story and most of the side missions, took about 130 hours according to the Origin counter. The game generally got better as it progressed, ditto for the explorable worlds. Main plot worked pretty well, comparable with previous ME games. Characters were a bit bland, but not much worse than those from ME1 or 3.

Three Mile Island~

Well, I guess there had to be at least one major title game specifically made to appeal
and/or appease the LGBT Community. Unfortunately it's the same one you like too.

It's no surprise it bombed, They focused on the wrong things, It seems they were either too busy tweeting anti-white man propaganda and ensuring the game had LGBT characters so they can tell their gay friends who'll never actually play the game that they catered for them when they should of made sure a popular franchise wouldn't die cause that's what they've done, they've killed Mass Effect and got payed for doing it.

MEA is not that bad compared with ME3, where the heroic gay shuttle pilot was featured in cut scenes in almost every mission (and unlike ordinary squad members you couldn't unselect him).

Yes. Seems it's a common mistake for companies to listen too much to loud minorities, that in the end have no real impact on sales anyway. OTOH I've read ME games really are popular among gaymers, but their numbers might be too small to make a difference even if they do buy it.

Perhaps more importantly, maybe Bioware wanted to please virtue signalling game journalists, but for some reason it didn't work. Not sure why, it seems like a winning strategy to me. Perhaps there are too many other SJW-infested games now, and the market has become saturated.

But I suspect the main reason the gamed failed initially was due to bugs ruining the marketing campaign. Now that the game is mostly patched it will rely on word of mouth instead, just like I suppose Stalker did.
