Managed to replay the buggy parts without any new problems. So far I'm about 70 hours into the game, and besides the bugs in the thread start it works very well - worst thing I've noticed is squad mates tending to spawn above ground when exiting the ground vehicle, and a couple of characters walking through walls. I haven't seen any of the animation bugs that the game was ridiculed for in the beginning.
---QUOTATION--- I still like to play from 1-3 trying out different characters and seeing how different they turn out but it's kind of exhausting by the time you reach 3. ---END QUOTATION---
You can avoid some of that by creating an import character file in an online generator. It's not worth replaying both ME1 and ME2 (over 100 hours each, IIRC) just to get a unique 10 second cut scene in ME3.
---QUOTATION--- I still recommend it to people. Though I haven't touched andromeda, I saw the initial bugs and lousy dialogue and spent it's entire launch laughing at videos of it. ---END QUOTATION---
I recommend Andromeda too so far, its game world is pretty similar to ME1 but better in almost every way.
Now the game forced unwanted sexual attention on my character (through "PeeBee", one of the most annoying NPCs in the game). I could see where it was heading right away, but the dialog didn't let me say no until after several awkward moments in a small escape pod. I feel violated by Bioware.
