There wasn't really a topic that already covered many new things I'm interested in or currently researching. Now there is.

I couldn't decide if I wanted to get a gas-powered lawn mower, a rechargeable electric cordless lawn mower or an electric corded lawn mower. This article helped me decide:

I've had electric, then petrol and now use a manual push lawn mower on a sizable lawn. As long as you don't let it get too long it's the most efficient and environmentally friendly option, also SILENT, I just wish neighbours would switch.

What I got out of the article was that basically re-chargeable cordless electric mowers are very weak. They don't have enough power, the time enabled to mow is too short and the difficulty of waiting for a re-charge to finish the job is a pain in the ass.

I actually have a Craftsman 18-inch and a 16-inch Reel Mower that work well as long as the yard doesn't get too long. As I have a new grass type I've never owned before, Bermuda grass, I was unaccustomed to how thick it got. I debated over getting a larger reel mower, an electric corded mower or a gas mower like I owned many years ago when I had a different house.

Here's the larger type Reel mower I considered: ( 1st choice )

However as much as I like Reel mowers, trying to push both mine through the thick Bermuda grass wasn't cutting it. I knew I needed more power. The question was corded electric or gas?

Don't forget the electric robot lawn mowers! The battery capacity doesn't matter much, since they can return to their charging station by themselves when needed.

When it comes to hand-controlled ones, my guess is that either the lawn is small enough to be finished with a cordless in a single charge, or (on larger lawns) the cord needs to be too long to be practical. So I don't see much point in a corded electric, use a cordless one for small lawns and a gas powered one for big lawns (or a robot).

Extra tough grass on a small lawn might be an exception where a corded mower becomes useful, though.

Right? Back when shorts were actually shorts. Not the stuff the younger generations are wearing now that are nothing more than long pants that end halfway up from the ankle to the knee. I hate those, especially those capri pants on women. It just make the feet look bigger by showing more skin right above the foot. Generally your ankles are not sexy so what the hell?

I recently installed two different Home Security systems to work side by side. I always keep them on, even when I'm home.

Almost half of US home security system owners admit their systems were switched off before a break in
