What do you collect?

Audioave10~

Now that you mention it, some of my early Lucas Arts stuff is indeed on floppies.

Ha! I'll probably stick with GSC. I do have a new & sealed boxed copy of Firestarter.
I plan to add Cossacks too.

What do you collect?

The older Games had really fat, very detailed Strategy Guides that
I consider an integral part to pairing with the cardboard box versions.

For example:

A good find is this one that covers all 9 Games:

The Dig?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Dig

One of the first video games I ever played. Me and my older brother used to play together... I would've only been a few years old.

"It's the P.I.G...." very memorable game

I also like to collect Radios. My favorites are hand crank ( self-powered )
types with Short Wave radios for emergency situations. Here's some I own:

Grundig FR200:

you are sorely lacking Zak McKraken and The Alien Mindbenders!

(and maybe Labyrinth for good measures?)

You guys are just too cool! I love the old radios.
Zak McKraken and The Alien Mindbenders is the best name in gaming.
I am up to 163 Big Box PC games (and still going).
New pics coming later. I need a new host as Photobucket is full of garbage ads that slow it to a stop. That site has been ruined!

Zak McKracken is one of my favorite games of all time - had a C64 for so long that I only had that and Maniac Mansion (and Labyrinth) to choose between, when it came to adventure-games, while all my friends got Amiga's (the computer) and played Monkey Island 1 and 2 (both of which I completed on said friends' computers, but even so - didn't have as much time to experiment with those games, so to speak )

also if you are interested in the Ultima games, overall - there's the wonderful Knights of Legend, which was released by Origin in 1989

it resembles the Ultima games to a certain extent, with regards to interacting with NPC's, top-down perspective, combat and so on; it also ties in with a character in Ultima VI (Segallion), whom you are questing to save in Knights of Legend

[it] has a brilliant and compelling combat-system, whereas you have the same overhead-view as in Ultima V, but there are multiple attack and defense options to choose for each character, as well as other more technical aspects, compared to the Ultima games (such as flying characters, hit-locational damage, etc., etc.)

I have the big box version with the 5,25" floppies (PC), map, manual, etc. - a worthy investement if you're a fan of Ultima or Origin in general (if you ask me)

it's a rather unknown game, but I spent many a year playing it on my C64 - it came on five floppies (5,25" ) and yes, they needed to be 'flipped' and switched out a lot,,, in the end I had bought 4 diskdrives for my C64, in hopes of not having to swap and flip so many floppies all the time...
